Frosch Student Travel has been appointed by the University Studies Abroad Consortium to provide an optional group flight to Chiang Mai, Thailand for your study abroad program. We will provide round-trip transportation on Qatar Airways/Thai Smiles Airways from LOS ANGELES (and other cities in the USA of your choice) to Chiang Mai departing on January 04, 2023.

If the group flight does not meet your travel plans, you may register online above and specify your preferred departure city on the reservation form under departure options as per instructions below.

Under departure options please select “other” and “depart from an alternate city”. The “from” box will appear and you may specify your preferred departure city to merge with the group flight. Please continue to complete the reservation form. Your card will not be charged until you receive and accept a fare quote. We will contact you regarding the fare upon receipt of your form. OUTBOUND FLIGHT ITINERARY

BANGKOK TO CHIANG MAI CONNECTION: After customs and immigration upon arrival at Bangkok airport please collect your luggage and proceed to check-in with Thai Smile Airline for your Bangkok/Chiang Mai flight. (Qatar Airways is able to tag your luggage all the way to Chiang Mai but there is a possibility of lost/delayed luggage situation because of two Airline interlining hence it is recommended that you check your luggage yourself with Thai Smile Airways)

Please note that Thai Smile Airline allow one checked bag–44lbs free and one carry on is free. Second checked bag will be $45 which has to be paid at the time of check-in at Bangkok airport.

GROUP WILL BE MET BY A USAC REPRESENTATIVE UPON ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT IN CHIANG MAI. IF YOU ARE SCHEDULED FOR THE GROUP FLIGHT , BUT YOU DO NOT ARRIVE WITH THE GROUP BECAUSE OF CANCELLATIONS OR DELAYS OF CONNECTING FLIGHTS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT.

GROUP RETURN FLIGHTS

We are offering group return flights departing Chiang Mai on April 29, 2023. You may fly back with the group or you may pick your own independent return flight date. Please specify your choice on the reservation form.

Upon arrival at Bangkok please collect your luggage and proceed to check-in with Qatar Airways for your onward flight to USA.

FLIGHT REGISTRATION AND DEADLINES

TICKET VALIDITY AND RETURN FLIGHT INFORMATION

• Your return ticket is valid until January 01, 2024 (1 year) from Chiang Mai back to the city of your departure.
• We are offering group return flights departing Chiang Mai on April 29, 2023.You may fly back with the group or you may opt to fly back independently on a different date from Chiang Mai. Please specify your choice on the reservation form.
• Once abroad you are allowed to change your already confirmed return flight date by contacting our Frosch Student Travel office while abroad. Please note that all date changes are subject to availability of the flights and require advance notice. The ticket you are purchasing has limited availability on the flights. Please note that June, July, August, November and December are the busiest months for travel.
• Any unused portion of your ticket is non-refundable.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We are offering a flexible cancellation policy in case you are not able to travel. You have the option to keep the credit of the ticket for future travel for one year. 

YOUR TICKET DELIVERY

Your round-trip electronic ticket will be sent to your email address specified on the reservation form.

FINANCIAL AID STUDENTS

Please note that the following terms and conditions will be applicable to all passengers who are financial aid students.

October 07, 2022: Your reservation form must be received by Frosch Student Travel along with a payment of $400 as a deposit to secure your space on the group flight.

It is your responsibility to pay the balance payment of your ticket 2 weeks prior to departure date. Your ticket will not be released until you pay the full balance to Frosch Student Travel. You are responsible to follow up with the Financial Aid office and pay us 2 weeks prior to departure. Your Financial Aid office is not responsible for paying the balance of your ticket to us.

SEATING

PLEASE BE ADVISED:  We will provide free pre-assigned seating on available flights. Not all airlines allow free pre-assigned seating and will charge a seat fee per flight. You may also choose a free seat using online check-in 24 hours prior to departure or at the check-in counter at the airport to avoid any seating fees. 

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Qatar Airways–You are allowed Two checked bags–50lbs each for free and one carry one free.

Thai Smile Airline –You are allowed one checked bag–50lbs for free and one carry on free. Second checked bag fee $45 has to be paid directly to Thai Smile Airline upon check-in at Bangkok airport.

The total dimensions of the bag must be 62 inches (length, width and depth). You may also carry on one bag weighing not more than 10 pounds and the total dimension of the bag must not exceed more than 45 inches (length, width and depth).

All airlines are very strict about the baggage allowance. Please do not try to check-in oversized or overweight luggage because it might result in an excess baggage penalty at the airport.

Please note that you must be able to handle your luggage on your own. Traveling with light luggage will make your travels much easier.
